Marisa D. Stringer, NP-C, CANS

Born in Scotland and after traveling the world as a child, Marisa Stringer, NP-C, CANS received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1999 and her Masters of Nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi in 2004. During that time, she has worked as a family nurse practitioner in the areas of family practice, cardiology, emergency medicine, and dermatology. Her certifications include Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. For the past 15 years, Marisa has specialized in general and cosmetic dermatology. Her cosmetic specialties include advanced injection techniques with neurotoxins and dermal fillers, microneedling, chemical peels, regenerative therapies, and the application of cutting-edge skin cosmeceuticals.

With an extensive background in medical dermatology, she has devoted her career to improving the quality of life for patients affected by chronic inflammatory skin diseases including eczema, psoriasis. By specializing in advanced and cutting-edge biologic therapies, Marisa offers patients access to the most innovative treatment options available today.

Not only a respected clinician but also a dedicated educator, alongside serving as the APRN Director for CoreMedSource, she is a dermatology clinical preceptor for Physician Assistant and Masters Nurse Practitioner students, a National Trainer for Prollenium, a speaker for Regeneron and Sanofi Genzyme, and a board member for the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, where she lectures on aesthetic workshops. In addition, she serves as Director at Large for the newly founded Mississippi Society for Dermatology Professionals where she focuses on promoting awareness and collaboration among nurse practitioners and physician assistants in Mississippi.

Accolades include being selected multiple times for Gulf Coast Woman’s "100 Successful Women to Know", a finalist for The Lighthouse Woman of Achievement Award, and receiving the Industry Award from the Gulf Coast Center For Non-Violence for her tireless efforts in serving the community.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and foremost spending time with her family who are her grounding force and provide the energy she brings back into her work.

Together with Dr. Kate Holcomb, they are committed to staying at the forefront of evolving research and continually integrate new therapeutic advancements into their practice.

Dr. Kate Zibilich Holcomb

Dr. Kate Zibilich Holcomb is a Board-certified Dermatologist since 2008. She is a New Orleans native and owner of Pure Dermatology which she founded in 2017. She has partnered with Marisa Stringer at NuVisage to continue to bring customer-centric dermatology care to the Gulf Coast. 

The mission of NuVisage is to be customer-centric, focus on effectiveness and natural results, and treat the whole patient in their skin health journey. These goals align with Dr. Holcomb’s approach to treating the whole patient and making sure to address their cosmetic and medical needs for effectiveness and continuity. She and Marisa have similar practice objectives in caring for each individual from start to finish.

Dr. Holcomb is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Tulane University School of Medicine where she supervises the dermatology residents in their cosmetic injectables clinics. She is trainer for Allergan and Evolus and has a clinical research division in her private clinic.

Dr. Holcomb completed her residency at Saint Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital of Mount Sinai in New York City where she received the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Resident Scholarship 2 years in a row and The American Academy of Dermatology Travel Grant to Scotland. She was elected chief resident in her third year. She served in the U.S. Navy as a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program, training dermatology residents, and completing her service in 2012.

Dr. Holcomb is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons, American Acne and Rosacea Society, North American Contact Dermatitis Society, Louisiana Dermatological Society and Women’s Dermatologic Society for which she has served on a number of committees. She enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, and swimming  with her 2 sons and husband Mark.
